Job Description - Assistant/ Deputy Manager/ Manager - Purchase
Job Description:
- Procurement Strategy:
o Develop and implement procurement strategies for HVAC systems and cleanroom-related materials and services.
o Align procurement processes with project schedules to ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment.
- Vendor Management:
o Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, vendors, and contractors for various projects.
o Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to achieve the best possible value.
o Maintain a database of approved suppliers and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Cost Management:
o Conduct market research to stay updated on current prices, market trends, and alternative materials.
o Monitor and control procurement costs while ensuring quality standards are met.
o Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising project timelines or quality.
- Purchase Orders & Contracts:
o In Depth understanding of P2P process. Prepare and issue purchase orders.
o Ensure compliance with project specifications, cleanroom standards, and contractual terms.
- Inventory Management:
o Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials and equipment without overstocking.
o Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient material handling and storage.
- Project Coordination:
o Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material requirements and project timelines.
o Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
o Resolve any issues related to procurement, delivery, or quality in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

- Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including vendor reliability, price fluctuations, and delivery delays.

- Technical Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of HVAC systems, cleanroom technology, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
o Familiarity with project management principles and engineering specifications.
- Skills:
o Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
o Proficiency in procurement software and ERP system
- Requirements
o 10–15 years of experience in purchasing within automotive and manufacturing industries.
o Strong understanding of MRP and production planning; SAP experience preferred.
o Familiarity with the P2P process.
o Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SAP.
o Experience implementing procurement systems.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree: Preferably in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent to qualification.
- PGDM/MBA: - in Purchase /SCM/ Operations (Preferred).
