Job Description - Engineer - Vacuum System
Job Summary
We are seeking Vacuum System Engineers experienced in vacuum systems and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with vacuum chambers, fittings, and leak testing along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, and integrate vacuum system components including vacuum chambers, valves, gauges, fittings and related parts
- Perform vacuum leak testing using appropriate methods (helium leak detection)
- Conduct system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis
- Interpret and work with engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Ensure proper installation and alignment of vacuum components
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Maintain documentation, test reports, and inspection records
- Adhere to safety standards and quality procedures during all integration activities
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- Experience of 2–5 years in vacuum system integration
- Experience in industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, research equipment, or vacuum technology systems is preferable
- Hands-on experience with:
- Vacuum chambers assembly and vacuum fittings
- Vacuum leak testing techniques
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of mechanical assemblies and system integration practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents
- Familiarity with tools, instruments, and sealing methods
- Basic knowledge of materials and sealing methods used in vacuum environments
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
