Job Description - Engineer - Vacuum System

Job Summary

We are seeking Vacuum System Engineers experienced in vacuum systems and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with vacuum chambers, fittings, and leak testing along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, and integrate vacuum system components including vacuum chambers, valves, gauges, fittings and related parts
  • Perform vacuum leak testing using appropriate methods (helium leak detection)
  • Conduct system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis
  • Interpret and work with engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Ensure proper installation and alignment of vacuum components
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Maintain documentation, test reports, and inspection records
  • Adhere to safety standards and quality procedures during all integration activities

Required Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
  • Experience of 2–5 years in vacuum system integration
  • Experience in industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, research equipment, or vacuum technology systems is preferable
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Vacuum chambers assembly and vacuum fittings
    • Vacuum leak testing techniques

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of mechanical assemblies and system integration practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents
  • Familiarity with tools, instruments, and sealing methods
  • Basic knowledge of materials and sealing methods used in vacuum environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation
