Partica
Partica laser diffraction dynamic imaging particle size and shape analyzer.
Partica is an all-in-one particle characterization system that combines laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measurement with dynamic imaging-based particle shape analysis. Its two-camera configuration captures particle images across a wide size range. The system supports particle size and shape analysis for different sample forms, including liquids, slurries, and powders.
The platform is customizable and scalable, allowing it to be configured with optional accessories for different sample types and measurement requirements.

Why Choose Partica
- All-in-One Analysis : Measure particle size distribution and particle shape using laser diffraction and dynamic imaging within one system usine both Wet & Dry mode.
- Wide-Range Dual-Camera Imaging : Capture particle images across a wide size range using two cameras with different resolutions.
- Flexible Sample Analysis : Analyse liquids, slurries, powders and samples with different concentrations.
- Expandable Configuration : Configure the system using optional accessories according to sample volume, concentration, viscosity and dispersion requirements

Key Advantages of Partica
1.
Integrated Analysis
Combines laser diffraction and dynamic imaging to measure particle size distribution and particle shape simultaneously in one analyzer.
2.
Wide Measurement Range
Supports particle measurement across a broad size range, with the applicable range depending on the measurement mode and particle shape.
3.
High-Speed Imaging
The dual-camera system captures up to 300 frames per second, enabling tens of thousands of particles to be analysed in a short time.
4.
Detailed Shape Analysis
Provides more than 30 image-analysis parameters, including equivalent diameter, Feret diameter, circularity and aspect ratio.
Laser Diffraction and Dynamic Imaging Particle Size and Shape Analyzer
By consolidating both techniques into a single system, Partica significantly reduces total measurement time, improves efficiency in R&D and quality control, and requires a significantly smaller footprint.
It supports particle size and shape analysis across a broad range of sample types and concentrations—from water-soluble materials such as pharmaceuticals and foods to dry powders and high-solids samples such as battery materials.
Integrated particle size and shape analysis
Particle Size and Shape Analysis for Liquids, Slurries and Powders
For laser diffraction, Partica builds on industry-leading measurement accuracy within ±0.6% of certified reference particle standards and provides a wide measurement range from 10 nm to 5 mm. Further refinements to the optical system also deliver increased sensitivity.*
For dynamic imaging, high-resolution optics capture detailed particle-shape information from approximately 1 µm up to the millimeter scale.
For shape analysis, the system extracts more than 30 particle-shape parameters, including equivalent diameter, minimum and maximum Feret diameter, circularity and aspect ratio.

Silica Slurry Quality Analysis
Particle-size and distribution analysis is enhanced by using multiple technologies, providing a more comprehensive overview of the material being tested. This example combines static light scattering and imaging technologies, with each technique providing complementary information.
The silica slurry analysis compares both technologies and reveals a small number of large contaminants or agglomerated particles while providing detailed characterization data that can help identify and resolve potential issues during manufacturing quality control.
Partica combines laser diffraction measurement with particle imaging to deliver complementary data through simultaneous dual-mode analysis in a single test.
Two-Camera System Captures Particle Images Across a Wide Size Range
By incorporating two cameras with different resolutions, the system enables wide-range measurements—from approximately 1 µm to several millimeters.
It acquires a maximum of 300 frames per second, allowing tens of thousands of particles to be analyzed in a short time.
It eliminates the need for time-consuming hardware changes such as switching microscope objectives or replacing apertures required in Coulter counter-based methods.
