HORIBA India has set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to medical business and the production of hematology reagents at Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is built over 12 acres of land and comprises manufacturing, refurbishment, QA, training, and warehousing facilities. The factory was inaugurated virtually on 20th September 2021.
Inaugration of one of the largest state-of-the-art Medical Equipment and Consumables Manufacturing Facility in Butibori, Nagpur on 6th July 2024 in the presence of Hon'ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji along with the HORIBA leaders: Mr. Atsushi Horiba, Chairman and Group CEO, HORIBA Ltd.,Japan, Dr. Jai Hakhu, Board of Director - HORIBA Ltd., Japan and Chairman - HORIBA India andDr. Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Office, HORIBA Ltd., Japan and President - HORIBA India.
International Training Centre (ITC): It is one of the six global international training centers for users from across the globe offering training in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Hemostasis product ranges.
HORIBA India Technical Institute (HITI): It provides various specialized professional courses. HITI courses are designed for working professionals and students of Pathology, Medical Lab Technology and Biomedical Engineering.
HORIBA Experience Zone (HEZ): It provides live demonstration and training of our instruments. It consists of two levels of training courses from basic operation to expert operation, depending on customer needs. The courses are highly interactive and include time for hands-on exercises using the HORIBA system.
Refurbishment & QA
Refurbishment: The refurbishment department consists of a centralized team of engineers who handle not only returned instruments from the field for refurbishment but are also providing technical support in the field. The plan is to develop this department further into instrument manufacturing for which already infrastructure is available
QA: The centralized Instrument QA facility brings uniformity and standardization in testing and handles the complete range of instruments.
Reagent Manufacturing
The Hematology reagent manufacturing facility at Nagpur is the first plant in India to have automatic filling systems for both bottles as well as Cubitainers.
Manufacturing capacity is close to 6000MT per annum which is capable of meeting reagent requirements for the future.
Sophisticated QC testing labs including the microbiological lab and adequate clean room facility for both manufacturing as well as quality control make the facility unique.
